Albeiro (Al) Florez was born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and raised in El Salvador, Central America. He is happily married to his beautiful wife Jessica, and together they have three amazing sons, Julian, Adrian, and Christian.
He began his logistics and analytics career at Sigma Q Corporation as the Central American and Caribbean Data Interface Analytics Director where he developed a sales interface that analyzed and predicted stock level across the region.
Al co-owns the Walker Florez Consulting Group where he serves as the Chief Knowledge Officer. As the CKO, Al increases the organization’s capabilities by managing the Human Capital knowledge, while expanding the innovating mindset of business to business service models. Al serves on various Boards and Committees, including: the NC Governor’s Advisory Council on Hispanic/Latino Affairs, Latinos United for Progress where he serves as treasurer, the Armed Forces YMCA, the Fayetteville/Cumberland Arts Council, and on the Cumberland County Workforce Development Board.
Al joined the United States Army in 2003. He served in multiple combat operations and humanitarian missions including: Operation Iraqi Freedom, Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, Hurricane Rita relief efforts, and Operation Tomodachi after the devastating 2011 Tsunami in mainland Japan. Al served as an Automated Logistical Non-Commissioned Officer in an Airborne Unit during his tenure and as a Pathfinder during the Tsunami relief effort.
Al’s most recent awards and recognitions include: the Fayetteville Young Professional of the Year award, the Fayetteville Observer’s 40 under 40, and the Presidential National Engaged Leader Award presented by the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Al has an Associate degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, a Business Intelligence Master of Science from Full Sail University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a concentration in Business Intelligence from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a graduation date of 2020.
